Ambassador Kılıç studied economics and political sciences at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. He was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports for the 61st Government of the Republic of Türkiye on 25 December 2013 and remained in office for 62nd and 63rd Governments of the Republic of Türkiye under Prime Ministry. Ambassador Kılıç also performed as the Chairman of the Turkish Delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Chairman of Turkey-Germany Friendship Group and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Kılıç is currently the Chief Adviser on National Security and Foreign Policy to the President and Ambassador.
