Ali Rogin is a producer/reporter with the PBS NewsHour. She is the author of Beat Breast Cancer Like A Boss: 30 Powerful Stories (2020/Diversion Books). During her senior year at New York University, she discovered she had the BRCA1 genetic mutation and decided to have a prophylactic mastectomy and reconstructive surgery before her graduation in 2009. A New Jersey native, Rogin lives with her husband in Washington, D.C.
