Albert Rivera Diaz is president of Citizens, Spanish liberal political party that promotes unity, modernity and the fight against corruption. LL.B., LL.M. by ESADE and PhD in Constitutional Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2002-2004).
He studied at the University of Helsinki, Finland, in 2001 (Erasmus) and in 2009 took a course in Political Marketing at George Washington University (USA).
During his university days , representing Ramón Llull University, participates in the Championship of Spain “University Debate League” was won. From 2002 to 2006, he worked at La Caixa as legal counsel.
In 2018 he was chosen by the World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
From 2006 to 2015 he was a deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia.
Currently he is the party ‘s candidate for the presidency of the Government of Spain, being national deputy since 2015.
