LOCATION

Concordia has offices in NY, NY, and Palm Beach, FL. Candidate is ideally located in NY, NY. Concordia is open to remote work from locations in the United States, with occasional visits to the NYC office.

 

Purpose of Position

Concordia is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, member-based organization dedicated to actively fostering, elevating, and sustaining cross-sector partnerships for social impact. As the preeminent nonpartisan forum and the biggest event that is taking place alongside the United Nations General Assembly, the Concordia Annual Summit in New York convenes top influencers and decision-makers through action-oriented programming. With a focus on the Americas, Europe, and Africa, Concordia’s Regional Summits explore the role of regional affairs in international relations. By providing an international platform, these summits elevate unique cross-sector perspectives and identify the support of the international community.

With oversight of the entire Concordia community, the Partnerships Department manages the organization’s Programming Partners, Programming Sponsors, and Individual and Patron Members. Working closely with these individuals and organizations on a regular basis, the department curates topical content aimed at amplifying important initiatives, identifying opportunities for partnership, and ultimately deepening collaboration across sectors, industries, and geographies. 

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Manager, Partnerships and Senior Director, Partnerships.

  • Supports the Manager, Partnerships in coordinating all aspects of programming partnerships including: day-to-day operations, developing & implementing partnership retention and cultivation strategies, and driving towards unique partnership impact goals & objectives.

Sponsorships

    • Collaborates and supports full Department in researching prospective programming sponsors and developing curated pitches. 
    • Develops written content for external outreach, such as pitch emails and sponsorship proposals, and leads the implementation of communications strategies for prospective sponsors with support from the Communications Department.
    • Lead coordinator of data related to Programming Sponsors, including collecting, analyzing, and storage/accuracy maintenance. Leverages data to help identify appropriate avenues to strengthen or expand sponsorship opportunities across industries or corporate verticals/regions.
    • Monitors development and progress of sponsor relationships and liaises with Concordia team members to maintain effective tracking in CRM and across internal record keeping / project management databases. 
    • Participates in external meetings, partner events, roundtables, and workshops, and executes other forward-facing roles to support Concordia’s engagement strategies and relationship development.

 

Operations

  • Provides administrative support for the department including scheduling, events, and correspondence.
  • Provides research and materials for meetings internally and externally.
  • Support and participate in any special projects as deemed appropriate by Senior Director and CEO.

 

YOU HAVE

  • 1+ years’ experience in managing client relationships.
  • Strong relationship management skills that present as an ability to retain and expand partnerships and maintain strong relationships with the partners.
  • An interest in foreign affairs, current affairs, and the social impact space as well as the belief that cross-sector collaboration is essential to solve global challenges.
  • The demonstrated ability to take initiative, assume responsibility and respond flexibly to changing demands.
  • A solutions-oriented approach, and are deadline-oriented and calm under pressure.
  • A willingness to work late nights and weekends in lead up to special projects and international events.
  • Foreign language skills — especially Spanish or French — are a plus.
