The deadliest mass shooting in American history, which occurred in Las Vegas in 2017, prompted Blake Resnick, CEO of BRINC Drones, to consider the potential of modern technology in assisting first responders during critical incidents. This tragic event served as a catalyst for his exploration into how technology could make a difference in public safety.
There are two primary challenges faced by first responders in critical situations: the first challenge is the need for technology that can provide situational awareness and the second challenge is the necessity for a means to rapidly understand, coordinate, and respond to emergencies. The BRINC Drone solves these challenges.
BRINC Drones have been deployed in Surfside, Florida for structural collapse inspections after a building partially collapsed and in Türkiye for search and rescue missions following a major earthquake.
BRINC Drones have significantly improved response times in specific areas. For instance, the Chula Vista Police Department reduced their average response time to 911 calls to just 97 seconds when using drones, compared to their previous response time of nearly seven minutes.
