In 2022, the stakes have never been higher for the treatment of mental health. Nearly 1 in 5 Americans are currently experiencing mental illness, resulting in a range of negative effects on society, and individuals. These effects have been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in decades of un-doing to health service improvements globally. Now, more than ever, the importance of addressing mental health solutions and stigmas is crucial.

To the Biotech industry, such a challenge can only be met by a radical transformation in our mental health services. This Concordia Live, hosted in partnership with Vistagen, discussed the need for an innovative approach to mental health treatment, breaking down societal stigmas around mental health, and the logistics of implementing a new standard of care felt horizontally across a diverse, equitable society.
